Today we will be making beef sauce it is a requested recipe. This a very quick and simple lunch or dinner idea, that you can pair with rice or whatever it is that suit you, even potatoes. So I start by prepping my meat which is about half weight, and I like it that way because it makes the cutting process easy and you cut it against the grain, because it will allow your meat to cook very nice and tender. Trust me in this one.
Next we are going to go ahead and take off any fat we are not enjoying this fatty part of the meat today, not today then we will parboil it off the stove by adding some salt and hot water give it a stir and you will see the bloody mess come right out or whatever colors they used to make the meat look appealing.
Am using the paste you can use fresh one if you prefer. So, a squeeze of both then I add my anise then chicken seasoning salt to taste, use whatever spices or seasoning that you like. Then I add my scallions mix it well then, I set it to marinate while I prep my carrots, onions, and green bell pepper.
I add some coconut oil into my pan then I will sauté my vegetables for about a minute, seasoning with some salt and chicken seasoning, this is also optional but this allows my vegetables to taste so good. Then we are going to set this aside.
Next, we add some more oil and we are going to brown our meat or steaming. Steam your meat very well so that it will not have any funny smell once it is done, this also cooks it halfway and for me am going to add some cayenne pepper because I love my heat. It is totally optional, but I cannot do without my spiciness. I will now dilute my corn starch with some water and I will add to my meat and I will add water to same level of meat and I will cook it on very low heat for about 10 minutes and it thickens up pretty quickly so a lot of corn starch will not make any difference it will just thicken up, if you want more sauce add more water, it is totally up to you. So 10 minutes time it’s done and I have just added my vegetables and I will mix it well and let it simmer for just about 30 seconds and I will turn the heat off and our brown beef sauce is ready, and I will be enjoying it with rice. Choose some side dish you prefer.
