I am ready for my morning milk or coffee, which one do you like. Well either ways you can use this milk powder for creamer to make it also make some chocolates while you at it, alright its so simple and you will be so happy that at least you could make your own milk powder at home, lets get right into this recipe.


Step by step method

  • STEP 1

    So, to begin I will pour into my pot non-fat milk, no fat at all. You could use whole milk if you are only using your milk powder for baking, because it does contain oil. Once it start to boil you want to stay constantly, I keep it on number 2 of my gas, my gas is up to 10, so I keep it pretty low but when am standing and stirring I might turn it up a bit, and you will cook it until it is at this point.

  • STEP 2

    At this point you can start drying it, but I want to go further I keep cooking it until its nice and solid. At this point it is nice and firm we are going to spread it out and allow it to dry. And I usually like to make my own milk powder in the summer time because its nice and hot outside so I could dry it outside, it will take the entire day so you should do this on your day off okay. Also this not the type of milk powder you want to eat on its own, its perfect for making your coffees and making your recipes that’s what its for, and you can keep this in your cabinet for up to 3 months, but this is just to show you that you can make your milk powder. It is always easier to buy.

  • STEP 3

    So, I just cut it up into little strips. We are going to take it outside and dry it on the sun. I cover it with my flower sack cloth because it is nice and light, it is also white so when something sticks on it I can see and get it off and it doesn’t get in to my milk powder at this point one side is nicely dried up so I am just going to separate them and put it back in the sun to dry, its so simple. The hardest part is drying out the milk and making sure it doesn’t burn. Its nice and simple so I will cover it and check on it a couple of hours.

  • STEP 4

    At this point is nearly dried but the inside is still a little moist, so I squeeze it to make it even flatter and leave it to dry some more. Finally, it is like almost dried. So, I crumble it up. Am losing the sun at the back yard so I am taking it to the front of the house, we are using every part of this compound today, so I put on top of my car and secure with some rocks so that the sack cloth doesn’t fly away and by evening time it is nice and dry. This is our milk solid, now if you could find milk solid to buy then you can just buy it and make it, its quicker. I got about 3 cups and am going to use half a cup of sugar you can use more or less, its totally up to you at this point, so we put everything in the blender and we go ahead to blend it until it is nice and fine and smooth.

  • It is so simple, you can make this, at least make this and say, I tried it and nailed it.
