In todays, video I will be sharing three ways to make your own stock cube. The dehydrating way, the frozen way, and the last way is the way you pick it up in any supermarket. Put everything in you with just a little bit of water, cover it up to steam until when everything is nice and tender. Then we will blend everything.
Next am going to send half into the oven and dehydrate it. And this is going to take about two days. And I cover it up so that the top doesn’t create a dry layer. The rest of it I will put in this container and put it in my freezer and about 4 hours. Then we will bring it out cut it up in our preferred sizes of square and cubes. Then we will put it back in the freezer to flash freeze it. That we will be able to store them in zip lock bags without them sticking into each other.
So once you cut everything up, you will separate them so that everyone will freeze all around and this is what will help it not stick after you put it in your storage bags.
So am going to cover it in my plastic bags and it in the freezer and the next day its ready. So am just going go ahead and put it bag yin my zip lock bags and put the in the freezer and out dehydrating one is also ready so we will get it out of the tray and we will cut them up and the reason why we continue with dehydration process is because we want to keep it in our cabinet we want no moisture at all.
The next step is to line it in our dehydrator and turn it on and I go to sleep then the next morning its ready. Now, if you are living in a humid area you can keep it up in the sun for this process okay. So, there you have it, it’s nice and ready so we are going to go ahead and set it aside.
And now to the last and final cubing process I use my conversion oven, its my new baby for dehydration in it does the work in the two hours. Your eye absolutely loves this, its my new best friend. Yes, our shrimps are ready so we will dehydrate the celery now, and once that is ready, we will dehydrate the carrots. We will blend the shrimps alone, so you can see that you can make your own homemade shrimp powder.
We will put everything in our blender, and we are going to be making our shrimp seasoning powder. I usually just keep it in the powder form, but I want to show you how to make your own cubes. So here you have it if you are making the powder then you are done, so we going to set it aside. Then we going to add coconut oil to our seasoning and then we will mix it until we get a nice thick or almost stiff paste. Now when you separate it you get the spare in case you add too much oil, then you can always add some more seasoning powder. Now in the store-bought cubes they use palm kernel, but I wanted to use coconut oil. You can use any type of oil that set in the colder hardings, now we are just going to shape it up then cut it up. I just play around with the size and use my rolling pin to make it nice and smooth with the best of my ability.
So the next part is the easy fun part where you are going to cut them into sizes that we prefer, so I make bigger sizes and smaller sizes because we don’t always use big ones then we are just going to put it in our fridge for just 15 minutes. And we have our cubes, okay and I live to keep my seasoning especially the cubes in the freezer already so after this am going wrap them in wax paper and foil. So wax paper lined in the foil. And ma just going to wrap everything up and put it in my container and have been keeping this one in my fridge, so yes.
